Tens of thousands of people protested the Bush Administration today in Argentina.

From bad environmental policies that destroy our earth to trade agreements that hurt the working class: we must stand in solidarity with the world as they say NO to the Bush Administration and right-wing politics.

Just how many people have died as a result of this administration? Thousands due to bad hurricane relief efforts and the increasing size of storms due to global warming as a result of bad energy policies. Thousands due to a war based upon lies. Thousands without adequate healthcare. The list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on......

The world has hated America since the days after World War II. Don't believe me? Read Gordon Sinclair's passage "The Americans!"

Plus, Communists like those protestors have ALWAYS been anti-American!

Yes rocky all of them are communists. Anyone who protests Bush is instantly a communist.. riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Rocky,

Words fall short on all the ways your a jackass.

No,

But preception is eveything and if
you hang with commies you, you are one to a watching world!

If I were protesting with Nazi's

I would be held accountable.

Also why would you hang with people who killed gay people?

Che Guevera persecuted gay people,

he did more to hurt gay people than Bush.

Remmember the Gulags and gay oppression under Stalin!

America liberated Nazi Germany,
and gay people were freed!

Gay, rich and white and now you are a minority staus!

I am Cuban and Gay and I support Bush!

Before you attack Bush deal with
injustice and blatant Racsim in the gay community.

White male worship pictures in every gay publication.

Only a wild, hatred could allow some one who is gay to support a communist uprising!

They protest is not for Democracy idiot!

It's for Communism.

Put the gap bags down, and

wake up sweetheart!

Pick up a book and read why gay cubans flock to "Facist" America every day.

Also read "Before Night Falls"
about gay poet, Reinaldo Arenas
who was persecuted by Che Guevera!

Thanks

Mark get a life!

You are not being persecuted,
You just want people to feel sorry for you!

But then you want to attack any views wich differ from you.

When Chrisian groups protest gay parade you guys call it hate!

When you do it its a protest for Civil Rights!

Not buying it qone bit!

I am very proud of that adorable photo :) If you want more photos of me because you seem so obsessed, i'd be happy to send you some.

QueerToday is not anti-Christian. It is anti-right wing. In the case of Love Won Out it was right-wing fundamentalist Christians.

There are many gay friendly Christian churches in the boston area.

Let's talk about violence for a moment Miguel. How is half the world's population living on a dollar per day NOT violence? How are the millions of people who die of preventative diseases NOT violence? The violence of neo-liberal economic policy is well-documented--even a former head of the IMF, Joseph Stigilitz, sees the problem.

Furthermore, while Castro and Guevara are extraordinarily problematic for some of the reasons you mentioned, I would certainly prefer them to some right-wing dictator like Batisda--or any of the other right-wing dictators the US propped up in Latin America. I would rather have them in power than seeing US corporate control run rampant in land that rightly belongs to Latin Americans. You ranted about racism, but having Latin America as the US's backyard ISN'T racism? Talk about missing the forest for the trees!

Gay people were not "freed" after the US found them in the concentration camps. They were sent right to jail for being homosexuals. This is also well documented and even a superficial knowledge of the events would have shown you that.

Lastly, yes Stalin was terrible. But you need to do a little more balanced reading on the Russian revolution than the right-wing propaganda you've been fed. In the years immediately following the revolution, sodomy was decriminalized, abortion legalized, and pretty radical social policy was pursued.

"Brainey Rainey to the Contrary".

How is half the world's population living on a dollar per day NOT violence?

The war on Poverty is like the war on crime. You never see the end but you try to find innovative ways to deal with it!

For a start we could tear down the ultra-protectionist union led trade barriers that keep the Third World under our heel.

But if the truth be told a great deal of this poverty that you call Viloence, is the result of corrupt leaders in these countries, or years and years of war, or both. We could go in strong-armed and impose our will on these countries, just as Bush did in Iraq. Clearly that's not an ideal option. Or we can find diplomatic ways of clearing these governments of corruption, which is a long-term exercise. There's no quick fix to this - all governments need to work with these countries at a diplomatic level if sustainable change is to be made.

Prefer Che and Castro to Batista!

First Brainey Rainey a pro democracy advocate would have neither!

That you make choices as to which tyrany was better based on US involvment is silly and dangerous.
Given the communist Regeimes who supported corrupt regemies like Pol Pot and Fidel.

First his name is "Batista" with an s not a "d".

Batista was a "revolutionary" soilder who like Che and Fidel felt that Carlos Prío Socarrás the president of Cuba was corrupt.

Although he was popularly elected, his presidency was involved violence among political factions and widespread corruption.

Many Cubans today beleive that he used part of the money he stole to support the efforts of Fidel against the Batista regime!

When Batista took over the US instead of doing what the USA did in Kuwait we prefered to just get along and not try to replace the overthrown goverment.

With regards youre leftist view of that leftiist are better than the puppets of the US is laughable on its face!

Latin America has gone through great changes, Its precisely because of the USA that these former communist countries became Democracies, giving millions hope to rise out of poverty.

Democracy does not claim to deliver everyone out of poverty but to at least give the poor a chance, and oppurtunity to grow.

So yes there is corruption, but unlike when these nations were being supported by Communist who wanted to "STATE OWN" the land, there are now democracy movements and democraticly elected elections allover to hold those in violation
accountable! This is a direct cause of America's involvment in South America, it was America or the Soviet Union..million in South America live healthjier lives because of the US winning the Cold War!

Those tortured and killed by people like Pinochet (and other right-wing death squads) would strongly disagree with your rosy assessment.

Speaking of Pinochet, that the US was involved in a coup against Allende shows clearly that the US was not interested in the Soviet Union or "communism" or democracy. It was interested in its own corporations' control over the region.

Poverty is still rampant and intolerable in Latin America. The only thing right-wing economists can do is say that the deplorable conditions give some "opportunity." You can't eat "some opportunity." You can't fight infectious diseases with "some opportunity." And that "some opportunity" always comes at the price of US corporate domination, a lack of control over one's own resources, hyper-privatization, lack of government spending on social services, etc.

Fidel may be a dictator, but the country sure seems to take care of its people. Cuba's doctors are the envy of the third world.

The Soviet Union is dead. Now that the "communism" excuse won't work any more, what are they going to say against progressive Latin American leaders and movements? It'll be interesting.

Oh...Its the Brainy Rainy Show,

Dramm, dramma, dramma!!

Brainy Rainy what about the genoicide's and death's caused by Marxist guerrillas Leftist in Ethiopia, and the Congo would no doubt disagree.

These were children killed by leftist with guns and no moral compass.

let us not forget about the Leftist thug groups who gain in strength, in partnership with drug cartels which in turn provide them with weapons.

Who then sale these drugs to black and latino's back in the USA!

Where is youre condemnation of leftist atocities hypcorite! What about groups like the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.

What about the Soviet Union using Cuba as a means to turn the entire hemisphere into a Communist Gulag,
what about that you hypocrite!

You claim to be a Christian, yet the Marxist burned church's killed priest, and nuns.

Where was the fucking out cry from the American left!

Also you stated "that the US was involved in a coup against Allende shows clearly that the US was not interested in the Soviet Union or "communism" or democracy. It was interested in its own corporations' control over the region!...

"Oh I am so glad you have the offical version of history in South America! That may be the Chomsky comming out of you, but it shows only youre lack of knowledge in history, and democrasy.

Business and private ownership is part of a Democracy, silly.

You can bash it all you want, the truth is in a Democray the "state" can no own my business. So if the US supported private ownership in South America, I see that as democracy in action.

Would you have prefered the Communist model?

Also after the WW2 we helped Stalin to defeat Hitler, we have often used the institutions and people to bring about democracy!

That is strategy, with a goal!

The goal Democracy!

Poverty has been with men since the begging of time, it was Christ who said you will always have the poor with you.

But never before in history has a nation so great and so powerful like the US, tried to help deminish poverty!

Its people like Bill Gates who are leading the charge!

Bush who has given more money to HIV according to the NYT than Clinton who only gave 7 billion in his 8 years! And that was in a booming economy!

Leftist policies continue to hurt the poor, in France, USA, Socliazed leftist polices hurt people!
Brainey also says!

And that "some opportunity" always comes at the price of US corporate domination,

Not...you are wrong! The truth is Democratic socties creat a competetive nation, They create good products! And other Nations want these products in there nation, like the Internet and the celluar phones!

And these companies hire these poor people!

And in turn give them an oppurtuinty they could never have.

I know because it happened in my life, and my immigrant families life.

America gives people hope and as a Gay person you should thank God you live here.

In Communist countries there are no gay rights, just State Rights!

You gays bitch and complain, yet you are so luck to live in America.

I wish you could be dropped in Kyrgistan or real "progressive nations"

I wish you would have met Che he would have killed you! He hated gay people and yet you march with gay youth who wear Che Guvera shirts screaming hate agaisnt a Church!

You are deeply confused or you are spoiled!

And given what I know about gay "American" life most white gays are spoiled to the bone!

I hope tonight you pray to God you live in the nation,

In any other nation the reverse would have happened!

Well, well, well. This has nothing to do with facts, it is just cheap populism.
