Mark, I enjoy your posts quite a bit. These skits make great points. I see that you have been engaging Tyler Tawbin directly, good to see. My hat is off to you and those who work with you.
I think its important to have a little fun now and then. As queer activists we can't just be angry and depressed about our oppression we have to rise above that.
Very good point. I was recently made aware of a tactic that is being deliberately used against us in order to confuse the moderates. If they can get us into a heated debate and we allow ourselves to fall into the trap, from the outside it looks like a screaming match with no clear superior position. We have to address every time they try spreading missinformation, we have to answer every time when they feign reconciliation or moderation, but we have to be ever vigilant not to communicate hatred back. This seems hypocritical coming from me, I know, but if you think about it you can see the truth behind my words. Take on people like Tyler Dawbin, but be careful not to soil your voice with hatred.
Our opposition is well organized, well funded, and well thought out. They have read Sun Tzu's Art of War and practice it agianst our loose coalition with zeal. We can bring ourselves more together, and we can make sure as individuals we keep the attention on their hatred, not our own.
Or,
we could just shoot them.
